Mounted these last night, they fit perfect and I was able to use re-use the stock housing and it’s 3 bolts to button everything back up.

Ok so first I had to remove the wheel itself.

To get to the fog light housing, remove fender liner. I think it was 4 or 5 of those plastic screw clip things...and then 1 bolt at 12-o clock position in the wheel well. To remove the fog light housing, there’s 3 bolts…two on the bottom and one on the top.

Passenger side was easy because there's nothing between the liner and the fog light except for a couple wires.

Driver side was a little more complicated because the windshield washer fluid container was there and it completely blocked access to all three bolts. To free up room to get behind it, I had to remove the entire intake assembly as well as the headlight. Headlight wasn't necessary to remove, but it would've made removing and reinstalling that top screw of the fog light bracket hell. Plus it was only 4 bolts and it slid right out.

Ok so this is the piece of the stock fog light housing that I was able to re-use. Once you remove the foglight itself you’re left with this. Notice that sloped underside.

Dremeling a 90 degree angle into that shelf made the PERFECT space to mount the D2 bracket flush against that shelf. Finally, drilled a hole through the top for the mounting bolt to pass through and voila…it’s ready to mount to the car. The D2 was ‘upside down’ when mounted this way, but the faceplate had 6 small screws that you could remove so I could flip it around to appear right side up.

When I went to try to mount it on the car, I was originally disheartened to find a piece of the fog light housing (that’s attached to the front bumper) that was preventing the bracket from sliding in all the way because the d2 bracket was filling that space which this piece would pass through. I was like, m*other f*cker how am I going to get a dremel in here to cut this out….However, the Gods decided to cut me a break and make this piece easily removeable! It was held in place by one clip. This is a picture of what I’m talking about.

After the lights were all buttoned up, I used the firewall gateway behind the battery to pass the control wires through. The plastic piece that sits over the battery was held in place by 2 plastic nut thingys…and 1 bolt. When you remove those, just lift up on the plastic piece and pull up. It popped right out…although I did have to finagle it under and around the windshield wiper. *This did not work on the driver side…you’d have to remove the windshield wipers first.

Low Beam and d2s:

Opinion after driving on the street
1) Simply put…better than any HID I’ve ever had. It’s a whiter, more intense light with a better, more even spread…I particularly like the spread to the sides…useful for helping to avoid deer. I’ve only had these mounted on atvs and dirt bikes and wasn’t too sure how’d these would light up the street. On a wooden trail, when it’s pitch black, it’s like the sun never went down when you have these lights…but that’s not hard to do when it’s pitch black, even cheaper PIAAs (not that PIAA is cheap, but their cheaper lights) were effective.…but on the street I wasn’t sure if ambient lighting would drown d2s out and render them as regular fog lights that barely lit anything up. Boy was I wrong. Actually, it was this guy’s video that ultimately made me pull the trigger. Here, he shows the difference between his 6000k HIDs…and the D2s.
2) Even when mounted as low as the fog light housing and pointed down…the beam spread is still intense enough to **** off oncoming traffic. I was flashed a couple times.
3) These lights completely drown out my low beam halogens…I could drive without them and be completely fine.
4) These were pretty expensive at $350 for the pair…but it’s well worth it. Also they’re indestructible…check out the rigid industries tests if you’re curious just how indestructible they are.

Good choice to go with Rigid, excellent product. I am wondering what a 20" bar would look like on the bumper, in front of the grill
The text formatting is a little rough at the top, take a look at that.

yeah the text formatting ruined my post, but I couldn't figure out how to get rid of it...I think it had something to do with copy and pasting directly from word...weird..
Aesthetically, I gotta say they look retarded in the bumper lol
Though I like more light output for myself, why be proud that they **** off other drivers? If they're bright enough that people routinely think your high beams are on, it's a safety and courtesy issue at that point. For what? Do you do long drives through the middle of the woods at midnight? I mean, seriously, put a switch on them or wire them to your high beams. I don't get why anyone thinks they need that much light in any traffic situation when other cars are around.

I appreciate your opinion haha, but if you've seen my mini you'd know I could care less about aesthetics.
and to answer your question, I commute during wee hours of the night. I have a shitty military schedule to thank for that. and yes, until I reach the highway, most of the way involves heavily wooded areas, my main concern was deer and the crap halogens and fogs weren't cutting it. investing in an HID retrofit was too expensive...these were the next best deal.
where did it say I felt proud that I was blinding oncomers? I merely listed it as an initial review. I felt bad that they were blinding folks. so before I left work early early this morning, I pointed them a little more down to try to remedy. and viola...no more flashers.
