Interior/Exterior Spooge in Engine compartment
I've been putting Black Magic tire shine on the black pieces in the engine compartment to keep then looking clean. So far its worked pretty well, but I was wondering if this might damage any of the components. The product is similar to ArmorAll but doesnt migrate as easily. I use the ArmorAll on the inside door panels since it gets into the grain of the plastic better. I also use the Black Magic on the inside of the fender wells and on the wheel arches and sills.
Ugh, your using Harm-it All? I mean Armor All? That is a quick way to ruin rubber. Use 303 Protectant instead.
Armor All will work great when you want to sell an old beater! Just douse the entire car in it. It will make even the most oxidised paint shine like new! (for a day or two!!)

I used the armorall because it gets into the cracks of the grain better than the Black Magic. Who makes protectant 303 and is it available at parts stores? I get tired of that dusty look the door panels get after awhile. Thank you in anticipation for the info.
here is a locator:
http://www.303products.com/main.php?...retailersearch
many automotive stores sell it, otherwise BOAT/US or West Marine.

And some camping stores too, like my local EMS.
Here's a question: Is the 303 Protectant capable of protecting the plastic bits from the cracking that the silicone induces over time? In other words, if you've already doused the car in Armor-All, can the 303 make up for the mistake?
(I'm not sure if I actually expect anyone to know the answer, or if I'm just looking for a debate...
