Mini dealer wasn't any help and maybe it's not logical or possible but I hate the silver trim in the center dash on my 07 r56 S. Just too silvery. I see the JCW interiors all black out and wasnt to retro fit mine the same way.

Short of buying a JCW any idea how I can get the autoclimate control trim, cd player etc in black? I may just resort to hitting up junk yards looking for parts. Thanks!

 

Cheapest option is probably disassembly and painting if you have a lot of patience. Otherwise you can order the newer black housing through the dealer but you may run into fitment issues. For example, in the 2011+ MINIs they moved the volume **** to a different spot.

Did the 2007-2010 JCW come with black interior? I didn't think that started until 2011 but I could be wrong.

 

The center console plastics for all MINI (not exclusive to JCW) changed to black at the 2011 update. Exclusive to JCW are black dials for the speedo and tach. Some of the center console electrical/electronics components were updated at the same time and they may not be a plug-and-play compatible swap for a pre-2011 model.
