New headlights

I got a chance to "mostly" install my headlights... I still need to hook up the halos and turn signals.

But I'm really happy with the way it changes the look of the front end.

Also you can see the grill has been painted black... might have to do a little touch up here and there, but I'm pleased with it. Also the black scoop, I'm liking that look. But, I found out the person before me must have tried to remove it, because they broke one of the nut mounts. So it's a little loose.

Next step, remove the stripes and tint a few more things (tail lights, parking lights, front windshield 8")... and then other mods (one ball, 15% pulley, cia, and many more...)

I too have been on the fence about buying them. I really love the look and I would definitely like some better lights too.
How hard was the wiring? And did they fit perfectly? I've heard there are sometimes weird gaps.

Ok, so the fit is not 100% perfect. But I think that can be fixed with a little metal modification. Not much, just a little bend here and there.

This is my second set. The first set I bought fit my '03 perfectly. But on my '05 it's not perfect. They even say '02 to '04 on the box, so there are slight differences in the years.

Wiring isn't too hard if your handy. I hook up the halos to the driving lights and the other lights to the turn signals. I disconnect the turn signals out of the bumper.

This time I'm gonna try something a little different and hook up the old turn signals to the parking lights and put clear bulbs in. This will give me larger parking lights and change the front end look a little.

I would live to figure out a way to turn on the halos only when the car is in gear, to make them more like daytime running lights, but I haven't gone looking for that wire yet. Maybe in the future.

If you run your halos to a fuse that turns on and off with the car... IE radio, windshield wipers... things like that you will get your desired effect I did that to my other car and it worked perfect =)

I ended up hooking them up to my parking lights.

I'm sorta happy with them. I feel like they are not as bright as I'd like them to be. I'm going to probably take them out and modify them.

I've got a few ideas to make them more interesting. Adding LED's for daytime running lights... putting more LED's in the halo ring... removing ALL the chrome by painting the chrome red... little things like that. Maybe it'll be a winter project. Maybe a project for this weekend. LOL

I've got a show I put the mini in next month. Maybe I'll be able to do some of these changes by then. I think it would really look different. Got a few things I'd like to finish changing over before then. New grill, blacked out handles, blacked out side light pieces (black and red actually), tinted tail lights, tinted turn signals, tinted side light bulbs, replace leather on arm rest with red leather... you know, the usual things.

I am interested in those same headlights. Do you have pics of them while the lights are on?
