plus $94 for the bike holder means ~$200 for labor. Two hours? If you want to make sure they make sure they drill the holes in the right place!

 

The labor is surprisingly high, but I decided that paying the dealer to do it included the purchase of "hole insurance" in case the drilled holes ever cause problems in the future.

 

The base rack is $190.00 and the bike tray is $94.00....$284.00 total...still leaves $300.00 for labor. This is outragous but I guess we have no choice if we want the factory set-up. I'm calling around tomorrow to check prices locally (south fla).

Plus $26 for the installation kit.

And yes, if you haven't figured it out yet, bmw is a rip when it comes to install. $950 for driving lights installed? The price i got was actually very cheap compared to the other dealer in town because this was the first rack this dealer did. They are a new dealership in town. I saved at least $200.
So don't be suprised if you end up with a higher price than the $589 it cost me (before tax). If you end up with anything lower, consider yourself EXTREMELY fortunate.
