Tints

Hey guys!

I'm looking to get new tints for my cooper s. I do not know good, quality long lasting tints. I'm Toronto, and am looking for a good tinting shop (reasonably priced of course). Is there a brand name you would recommend and a shop? I've looked around a bit, but still unsure. I've heard of autolinks, lazer tint, and audio heaven.

  • Autolinks quoted me at $395 + taxes.
  • Lazer tints said they use formula one film. They have two different films, classic and ceramie. It would cost $265 for classic, and for the ceramie, its $265 + $75 = $340.
  • Audio heaven use solar gard and charge $199 + tax
Any tips?

F1 is one of great tint out there that offer lifetime warranty. last i heard, they were bought out by LLumar, which is also a great at making tint. always ask about warranty against defect/purple-hazing/bubbles. a great tint should have lifetime warranty against these defects. ceramic is the best at not interfering with electronic signals but it's also the most expensive. I've done both and prefer the normal tint due to uniform color quality. the ceramic F1 appears to have this rainbow haze in sunlight that I don't like.

Thanks. I always prefer the best out there, and to me, it seems like a great price. They are under warranty there, so that's a plus.

Is the purpel haze a defect on all, or was it just the one you had?

Lol I paid $75 total for a 20% tint all around with a one-year warranty in Miami.

You only see the 'purple' discoloration' over time on cheap or defective tint films. Just make sure that the shop is giving you lifetime warranty against defects
