OEM (or match) paint source?

I'm going to be pulling my headlight and taillight trim for painting - was thinking of going the plasti-dip avenue that is so popular, but I wanted to check to see if it was possible to get OEM color or a match from anywhere?

I am experienced in shooting paint via HVLP gun (furniture and speakers), and it would be very easy for me to properly prep and paint the trim pieces if I could only get my hands on some paint.

The most I've been able to find is small vials of touchup paint. Let me know if I'm missing something.

Thanks!

NAPA can do it just give them the paint code on the drivers door....however, you probably won't get anyone to do paint it, or if you do, will not guarantee it, because paint doesnt bond well with the plastic chrome....went to about 5 different places and was told the same thing by each place. Best bet is to either take them off and use on of many different colors of plasti-dip, or vinyl.... Lyle does great work in Cali, he send you a set wrapped and you send him the originals. http://www.vinylstyles.com

Used them before multiple times, you can buy just the color and clear coat, or if your paint is metallic, you buy the fleck spray as well.

Thanks!

I know that it's a bit hard to get paint to adhere to the chrome. I'll be using an epoxy based primer. It fills less than a polyester based one, but it is much more sticky. It'll do the job without a problem.

I'm surprised that paintscratch sells color AND clear - most paint nowadays are single stage.
