It was a windy day in Chicago yesterday and I was out in the rural suburbs driving my MINI. Along the road my MINI was assaulted by a tumbleweed or a large cluster of brambles. The mess blew into the passengers rear side near the back wheel/bumper. It made an awful sound.

Anyway, I got out to look and the damage wasn't nearly as bad as it sounded, or as I had expected. There are however about 3 long scuff marks, about half a centimeter thick. No scratches except for some minor scratches that can probably be taken out using some product. But I don't know what to use on the scuffs or scratches. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

 

I had some scuffs on my bonnet left by a spring break vandal (...long, painful story ). Anyway, I used Meguiar's ScratchX and lo and behold, all traces of the scratch/scuff are gone. I hit several other minor scratches with the stuff (...I guess I was in the mood) and they disappeared with minimum work. IMO, ScratchX is much more effective on scuffs like you describe than on swirl marks.

Thank you! I ran out and bought the ScratchX a little while after you posted, AND THE SCUFFS DISAPEARED! I was so relieved. That stuff is fantastic. I'm going to reccomend it to everyone. Looks like new.
