Added some inexpensive Cross Bars to OEM Roof Rack
Well I've been wanting to make the Roof Rack more usable so I looked around for some crossbars and found a cheap set of cross bars on eBay. They are made by Rage. Here is a quick review. Hopefully helps out anyone looking for an easy solution.
Fitment: Perfect, the smallest setting is virtually exact for the Mini. You get set of keys to unlock the ***** at the end which just adjust the clamp to hold snugly on the roof racks.
Finish: The aluminum looks clean and matches the silver bits on the car (just switched over from black R112s to silver R112s), much more sleek than plain black like most cross bars. The black plastic details look good and very OEM. There are two little indents that look like its a space for gel stickers, so when I get a chance I will probably buy a few and paste them on there. It will definitely look like an original Mini part then.
Visibility: Right now I have them right at the end points of each window pane of the sunroof and you can't even see them from inside. They don't interfere with the sunroof when at tilt or completely open.
Pricing: $53 shipped. Not bad at all. I couldn't be happier with them.

^ Thanks man. Wow that's a pretty good deal for a reputable product. I knew they would be a touch wide and thought about cutting them down a bit as well but so far I don't mind them. I'm trying to find a used roof carrier box to mount on there. I'd like to get a decent one and have it custom painted. You got any pics of your setup?
