Door Ovals & Dash in Chili Red Vinyl
I have done all kinds of searches on this site and others for a way to cover the dash and door ovals on my 2010 Cooper S. I love the car, but the weird silver/gray checker pattern is a huge turn-off.
I am pretty sure I can handle the dash parts with no problems but I am trying to find out how to do the door ovals. Any how-tos or tips would be very appreciated.
I understand that the ovals cannot be removed from the doors, have people done this with the door cards still attached to the doors? Do you try to do this in one piece of vinyl or multiple pieces? If more than one piece, where should the seam(s) be and how much should I overlap the vinyl??
Thanks for your help.

This is my dash - reminds me of the cheap carbon look plastic that people would bolt on to their GSXR motorcycles back in the mid 1990s.

I don't want to do anything that I can not undo for a future owner, so I don't want to trade for silver and keep the checker stuff on the doors.
