Interior/Exterior Factory fog lights
I have an '04 MCS that did not come from the factory with fog lights. I just have plastic grills in the lower front bumper openings. My question: are the MINI fog lights any good? I can get the front/rear retrofit kit from Classic for about $160 + shipping, install them myself and pay probably ~$50 in dealer coding. But are the fronts worth it?
FWIW, I do use my fog lights for fog; I don't use them to look cool while driving.
Thoughts?

I do have the front fog lights on my MCS. We do get fog here, but I haven't had a chance to try it in the fog. Just flipping them on during night driving I can see that they light up a wider portion of the road in front of you and on the sides. It seems to flood the front end and sides with light, low to the ground. I would assume that they should help in a foggy condition.
They do light up the road a little wider, but I found that they are not too useful. I was in San Fran with lots of fog and maybe it's just me but if it's foggy those little lights don't do much.
I installed the front fog light and full switch panel myself. During the fog, the immediate distance in front of the car is noticeably more visible with the fog lights on, though not dramatically brighter. The fog lights do provide a broader view to facilitate night driving even during clear weather.
I have the factory fogs. It doesn't really get overly foggy here, but I find that they do illuminate a significant portion of the road and help me see the road better at night (I'm beginning to have nighttime vision difficulty). So I'm one of those guys who has 'em on all the time at night, but out of necessity.
