In anticipation of picking up my cooper at the end of this month, my dealer sent a new 2004 accessoriy guide. There is an option for a fork mount bike rack listed (no picture) part #82 72 0 301 584. Has anyone seen one or know more about it?

 

No I wish this was an earlier option. Both of my bikes lack down tubes where the stock holder attaches. I bought a thule Big mouth with a VW mount and added a washer and that has worked great.

Thule USA is working on a roof rack system for the MINI. Since my brother is the President and my car was used for R&D, I hope to have a protoype shortly. This should be worth waiting for. I'll keep you posted and lobby for a group buy.
