Interior/Exterior Flash2Pass
Flash2Pass
Hi guys,
One of my first mods on my new PW R57 MCS Cabrio. I didn't build the car and the lack of Homelink in the mirror is something I cannot live without apparently. Retrofitting was too advanced.
Flash2pass has given me the ability to open/close my garage door like the old clicker did. $80 for the complete transmitter/receiver set, $.47 for alarm wire, some double sided tape, and done. Now when I flash my high beams twice the garage door opens/closes normally.
FYI, I bought the motorcycle set, and it's the exact same as a car set, but the instructions were obviously different. A call to the folks at F2P and they walked me thru it.
The only issue I had was my receiver wasn't getting enough power. I wired it onto the garage door unit on my ceiling, and kept my original door switch and light on the wall. I guess my garage door unit sucks and wouldn't supply enough power to the new F2P receiver. They told me to attach an old AC adapter from an old phone charger into the F2P and it works like a charm.
I'll post pics soon of the completed job. Saved me $$$.
Now to add stripes and window tint...
