>>Just wondering what's the difference between these and the ones that MINI was/is offering? From what I can tell these PIAA's are much bigger, and aren't chrome, and aren't as heavy on my wallet. Other than that anything?
>>
>>I like the smaller size of the ones from MINI, does PIAA offer something similar?

Not sure if PILO can get you these, but check out IPF 630's. Awesome little lights from a somewhat lesser known (but better in my opinion) brand. IPF has a unique bulb they call the Jbulb, that sorta glows for a while after you shut them off. Looks pretty neat in the garage. Im not sure the lights come with the bulbs or if its an upgrade.

No problem TWOMINIS! I can't wait to install them next weekend. My MCS is pretty much bone stock. I will post some photos on NAM when I am finished. For all my trouble and the business I have brought to Dan at PILO RACING on this group buy, he has agreed to sell me one of his green PILO cold air intakes for $125! Dan, Are you listening (?) !!!!!!!!!!

Question about the PIAA rally lights for the MINI: Is the black mesh protector with the huge "PIAA" logo on the front of each light removable? I really like the lights, and I understand that part protects the lights from rocks and debris, but sometimes I won't want to advertise "PIAA" in huge white letters....so is it easy to remove and put back on when needed?

Thanks,

-boog

Just to let you guys know. at the time this group buy started, my distributor told me that had plenty to cover the group buy. Then they sold the stock out from me. We have 4 on the way (should be here today), and waiting for a direct shipment from piaa. I will send these out in the order that I recieved the payments, unless 2 day shipping was specified, then it will go out asap. I have the H7 bulbs, so those are not a problem getting out to anyone that orderd them. I apologize for this delay, but will do my best to get them out by the end of the week.

Dan, I would think that it would be a good business move to let everyone know personally when to expect their purchase, as some may not check here and will be getting frustrated and angry waiting for a package that doesnt arrive. It's just a thought, not trying to tell you how to run your business or maintain good customer relations.

Every one should have recieved a PM regarding the delay in the order. If anyone out there wishes to join this GB, we still have some time to add your order to the list

I've gone ahead and cancelled my order with Dan. I just can't wait any longer. It's been almost three weeks since this order went through, and still no idea on when the PIAA's will even arrive at Dan's place.

If they will ship in the next few days, then that's fine, otherwise, I've cancelled. (Already emailed Dan).

I got your e-mail and responded. I honestly do not know when I am going to get them. I am calling other places to get them, but can not guarentee. I feel real bad about this, as I said, I had the stock that I asked to be set aside for me sold from me, and I can't make good on this deal. If any one wishes to get a refund, I will provide it with no hassle.

Thanks,
Dan

Dan,

It's Monday. What's the latest with this group buy as it's beginning to get an uncomfortable feeling?

The 510 option you mentioned in your PM as an alternative to the 540s is questoinable as it's a 20% reduction in size, ~ 5" to 4".

We are still interested but without any sign of hope, do we bail out?

I'll hold on. Won't be required untill mid March. I'd have to have them on and lit up by the 29th March.

What are the chances?

THere is some hope.. My guess is about 2 weeks. I understand if you want to bail out, I will provide a refund in that case. I do plan to get enough lights to last so, if you still want some later on, if you were part of this group buy, I will honor the price.

Again, I apologize, and wish I could do something to get the lights to all of you. I am going down another avenue as we speak, trying to get another source of these lights and get part shipped out.
