Yup...it's a genuine JCW grill surround. I love it on my CR MCS, much better than the chrome surround. Gave it a much better aggressive appearance.

That's exactly what I want... One day hopefully I'll have it that way.

well definitely on the light trim but the gas cap and fuel cover and handles can be gotten at this site http://www.aestheticreations.net/index.htm
they got all you need for a blackout.
I got everything blacked out except the belt line. Which is soon to be done.

The first change I made on my car was OEM black trim via my dealer (who was replacing half of the trim anyway)

Thanks! I'm happy with the results. I was under the impression it would be black when I ordered it, so now the car looks like I had imagined.

I want to do the headlights, but I can't decide on red or black. I'll probably black out the beltline, gas cap, and scuttles, too. However, everything I've read seems to indicate that the handles are a pain, so I'm not too excited to try that.

Yea I've heard the same about the handles, they have snap on covers in blk that look pretty good. I'm just little tight on budget I have a 5 year old daughter that I spend money like crazy on and when I buy stuff for myself I think dang I could have bought her this toy or doll. Man she has got me in a bad way but I love it! haha

no doubt the black looks nice ... gives the mini a "mean" look esp on CR minis

I also bought the black grill trim from Outmotoring, I think it makes the grill look bigger against the chili red paint. I am keeping the chrome headlight trim, I think it makes the headlights look bigger, giving the front end a cool "surprised frog" look!

My car started out with the factory aero kit. Last year I had the JCW aero kit put on. I agree that the black grill surround looks better than the chrome. The finish on that grill surround is shiny which I do not like. So after blacking out the tail light rings, gas cap door and head light rings, I had to make sure everything on the car was a satin/matte black. That included the grill surround.

The front and rear emblems are stick on molded plastic pieces. The door handles are also molded plastic and stick on via friction fit. His 2nd gen batch of door handles fit perfectly. You can not tell they are just sitting on top of the old chrome door handles. It took a very long time for him to ship them to me. Those pieces are from Mike Syfritt at Aesthetic Creations.

The rest of the blackout parts was done by Lyle Beckwith of Vinyl Styles.

I didn't even know Aesthetic Creations sold those door handle covers! I'll have to look in to it. Your JCW is really well done.
