anyone remove an armrest or interior trim?

Help! I have an '08 S and would like to remove the armrest, which is attached underneath the rails that hold the seats to the cabin floor. Has anyone tried this, or is it too much for a DIY project? Also, the car came with piano black trim on the dash and doors--is this easily removable and re-installable on another car? Thanks!

If the center arm rest is mounted under the rails of the seats all you have to do is take out the one bolt in the rail at the back where the arm rest mount is and is should slide out. Bolt is a T40 Torx if i remember correctly.

As for the Piano Black Trim The dash panels and door pulls are easy just pull off but the rounded trim on the door panels is plastic welded on and is rather easy to remove but once removed "can not" be put back on to another car easily. it takes a lot of work to get it back on correctly and even then it may not hold up properly.
