Attention Paddlers: Just installed my JCW style steering wheel WITH PADDLES

I just installed my custom steering wheel (thicker, softer leather, custom stiching) on my 2009 Clubman S automatic. I wanted a thicker wheel like the JCW wheel but didn't want to pay $500 and lose my shift paddles. I also didn't want to be without my MINI for a week or so while some out-of-state shop modified my stock wheel. Gerry at DSV sent me a replacement wheel (made to my specs), took me 15 minutes to swap with my stock wheel, and am sending them my stock wheel. DSV will provide this service for any MINI and their prices are very reasonable. For options and pricing you can contact Gerry at DSV at dsvettes@msn.com. The pics don't do it justice and its a 500% improvement over the stock wheel.

Very nice! Would you be willing to share what this cost (either post or PM)? I too love the JCW wheel but can think of a number of better ways to spend $500!

Thanks for the tip !
I was really bummed to learn the JCW wheel and the paddles aren't compatible .. but that may change this fall when the Countryman JCW is released with an auto...

I'm also really interested to know the pricing on something like this. It's not necessarily something I need to do...but for the right price it sure would be nice. Can you share?

Either way that wheel looks great- nice addition

I'm curious about the price as well, but at least from my experience w/ having replaced the stock wheel with the JCW alacantra one, it is definitely a necessity. Same as trying to go back to stock halogen lights after having HID's. Considering you're going to spend roughly an hour hanging onto the wheel for every 60 miles you drive, it ought to be comfortable.
