Driving Lights Bracket

Hi guy,

I was thinking about getting some driving light for my Mini.
Because I think I can get tired of them very quickly, I wanted a cheap install for now.

I saw some topics with non OEM brackets installs, some homemade with "L" brackets from home depot.

Can you guys please take some pictures of thei "home made" mounts? Lower and upper grill

Check my gallery for DIY light brackets made from 1/8" steel angle iron. They are secured to the back side of my JCW grill with 2 bolts passing thru the grill. The tab that extends thru your grill to mount the lights to needs to extend about 2 1/4" to give you room to mount the lights.

I've got a 2011 base Cooper and can't find brackets that will fit. The options out there all fit the S but I'm stuck in limbo. Aaron at Outmotoring can't / won't put one together and VIP said they'll make one but no idea when. Iv'e got a pair of Hella 500FF that I was hoping to put on at the bumper but I'll use the grille if II have to. Aaron said the OEM brackets from MINI might work but would need "tweaking"...I'm no mechanic and don't know if anyone around here will "tweak" for me. I'm at my wits end...any suggestions? Thanks in advance for all your help!!

Looks like you've backed yourself into a corner if you're unable to do any of the work yourself. Do a search and you'll find lots of DIY light mounting solutions. Without a handy friend to do the fabrication you're at the mercy of the aftermarket suppliers to supply you a bracket that will work on your 2011.

The best solution I can think of is to send me the lights and I'll install them on my Cooper S!

Search around and just see how it would need to mount then find something that will work.

You need the lights first in order to make yourself that little custom kit. When I saw the OEM "bracket" I couldn't believe how incredibly overpriced it was. You will spend a few bucks at your local hardware store to get the same result. Best of luck
