Mini fender reflectors

Does anyone know how to properly remove the reflectors on the fenders? I want to smoke them out because no one makes a clear/smoke reflector for our cars. trying to finish blacking out everything and this is an important step. Bought the vinyl but did not look right. 2010 MCS black/Black

i've recently replaced my fenders with UK spec (sidemarker delete). after my US fenders were off, the lights are totally accessable. the fronts have 2 10mm nuts holding them on, and rears have 1 10mm nut.

i doubt you have to take the fenders off. i think you could get to them by either bending your wheel liners out of the way or maybe removing them entirely. hopefully this helps you.

180 british pounds, shipped i think i paid like 400$ USD. i order on a friday and DHL was at my door on tuesday. extemely fast service!!!

the new fenders even came with the little grey clips pre-installed. i yanked off my old fenders and broke almost every clip. some were actually still attached to my mini. i used some pliers to just pull out the broken clips. the new fenders just clip right in.

makes the car look much cleaner, those orange side makers are an eyesore. i live in florida and we have no state inspection. pretty sure others states will frown on it and may not legal in all 50.

You're going about it the right way. You must remove them to do a good job. I've seen a few people that tried to mask them off and apply a lot of very light coats. It looks really bad.

You're giving the inspectors alot of credit, most of them don't know jack cr*p about cars.

With the new fenders being solid it'll probably go unnoticed for the life of the car by all but Mini enthusiasts!
