04 oem Battery type

What type of battery in 04S oem? Deep Cycle, Sealed, Gel or Maintenance Free? I have a switch on my new charger that needs to be selected if the battery is a "Maintenance Free" rather than "Deep Cycle" or "Sealed".

You have only two real options, OEM or an Optima. I went with an Optima Red top ( R34 ? ) as there was a nice rebate at the time, but it doesn't fit perfectly in the well with the strap and it's a tad taller too.

Since our batteries are within the compartment of the vehicle, it has to be either one with a venting port that the small tube hooks up to in the battery box - ( OEM ), or a sealed "non venting" batter ala: Optima.

When I can, I am selling this Optima and going back to original.

Well......

It's not a Deep Cycle - that's the marine/boat style.

It's not a Sealed - it does have the vent tube into the floor of the battery box.

It's not a Gel - because it has fluid in it.

Reckon it's a Maintenance Free.
