Factory Rubber Jack Pads

I was reading about Reverse Logic's jack pad insert, thought it seemed like a good idea & went out to the garage to make sure they were something useful. I'd never looked for them before, since we took delivery of our new to us '07 just over 30 days ago. I looked around and found one of the pads & was surprised to see they're made from what appears to be hard rubber and wondered how much the Reverse Logic piece was really needed. I looked around some more & discovered (2) of the pads are missing. I searched around for them on the Internet after our closest dealer quoted me $26/piece. I'm finding what could be the right pads for around $15/piece, but none of the vendors list part numbers associated w/ MINIs - all identification are BMW numbers and/or models. Can anyone please tell me what the correct part number is or what model BMW takes the pads for an '07 MCS? I'm finding what I believe to be BMW's PN 51-71-7-039-760-M9 and the same prefix w/ an M26 ending. I looked and see that prefix on my (2) remaining pads, but no sign of the M's.

MYSTERY SOLVED!!!! I spoke w/ a gentlemanat Pelican and he said both parts are identical except the M9 is a BMW PN, whereas the M26 is a MINI PN.

What works great on a floor jack to protect the factory rubber jack pads is a hockey puck. It fits on or in the cup of the jack and indents just enough to provide a slip free and damage free surface for the jack pads. And its cheap!

That is one of the best ideas I've seen in a long time. Thanks!

Damn! Great tip, unfortunately a few days too late. I just spent crazy money on the metal (SS or AL, not sure which) jack pad plate from Moss. Had I known......I have about 70 hockey pucks in my garage right now.
