Looking for more storage; Ideas please!

After a few days with my new Countryman S (with full rail), I've come to the conclusion I'd like to have some more storage for small stuff, wallet, pen, cell phone, etc. I did not get the armrest as an option, as it looked a little bulky for the space, and didn't seem to offer much room inside. So, I got to thinking - what if I could "steal" the base from the next to useless cell phone holder and mount it onto an after market one like this?

Doesn't look like it would be too tough to match the carbon black interior. What do you think? Any ideas?

I don't know you neat you want to keep it, but - - - the CM comes with a selection of strange looking plastic bits with no explanation. They are actually hooks that snap into you rail. From which you can hand a MINI litter bag or aftermart equal. That should hold some of your stuff. Or give you some options.

Like Sealy said, it's actually a good idea. I bought a litter bag from etsy.com in black and white checker and red inside to match my CM. I drive a lot for work so clipped it on the passenger side of my rail close to the seat. I put pens, my various chargers and other necessities in it. If someone ends up riding with me, you can just unclip it from the front on to the back rail clip until you need it within arms reach again.

And don't forget that the doors have some storage and it is larger than it appears to be. I find myself tossing case files in the door while driving so I know its got enough space for a cell phone and wallet and accessible while driving if needed.
