Sadly, my yet to arrive Mini will spend too much time in public parking lots.

Has anyone found a quality 'ding protector?"

I've seen the temporary magnet ones (seems like a pain) and just found a chrome stainless steel set for $250 at MiniMania.

Anyone bought those? Good or bad results or better solution than parking in the next county?

that's a hard one. those side moldings are only good for a car that parks
next to you with that particular door height. It works better than nothing though.

i would suggest a routine fix at http://www.dentwizard.com every year or so.
