So I'm pretty sure that I have a R53 (2005 JCW), however I really like these floor mats. I know that they are for a 2007 and above however will they still fit?

No, the pictured mats are for the R56 55 and 57 cars and will NOT fit the R53. The correct ones are heavy and look almost the same. The pictured ones are light and slide around underfoot. Mine are for the R53 and I have had them for almost 6 years and they are great! You can always find some in the marketplace for a good deal.

If I was driving my Mini in the winter I'd definitely go with the Weathertech mats. I have them in my truck and also in my family hauler. They are amazing, salt, water, snow, mud, everything stays inside the mat and nothing gets on the floor. On the other hand, Danielle lives in North Carolina, so salt and snow aren't too much of an issue
