Thinking about getting window tint on our CM when it arrives. Dealer offers it but seems overpriced at $399 and I'm not sure what they use.

Have a place locally that does 3m and one that uses a brand called Solargard. Anyone used either of these?

 

Hey Lindseybp! The brands that you mentioned are pretty good brands. I've used 3M magic tints in the past (darker in the day/lighter at night) but what you might want to check out are the ceramic tints. for the price they gave you you can have those put on your CM. Way superior! It's like you don't have any tint on but it blocks UV and heat 500% better than traditional tints. It's worth the $$$. I'm having mine done in the spring!

 

I would not pay the dealer for any add-ons like that. Find a reputable shop that uses quality materials and stands behind their work and product and spend maybe half or so of that.

 

Yeah $399 is a rip off, I only paid $130 to get mine tinted at a professional shop. Do it in the winter as the shops are slower and give you better deals.
