Auto folding mirror module from New MINI STuff

Hey there,
I purchased the Electronic folding mirror kit from New MINI stuff with the Auto folding module. Does anyone know where to find the red/black wire from the alarm roof sensor. I don't think I have to run it up along the headliner, I would imagine that the wire is locate somewhere along the front end of the car and hopefully in the dash area. Does anyone know?

Thanks!

I don't have that module - so no idea where the red/black from the roof sensor would be. Sorry!

no worries Eric. You kind of pointed me in the right direction with the wiring diagram. I don't have time to install the mirrors this weekend since I have midterms coming up. I will have to wait, patiently (I hope).

Hey Checkers -

Heard you installed the auto fold mirror module ... I'm sooooo jealous ... I have the Cabrio and have wanted something like this since I bought my MINI. In fact, when I ordered my MINI, I was actually expecting that it would autofold like the Mercedes mirrors, but was dissapointed when it didn't ... I was sooooo excited to find a solution, only to find my lack of a hardtop is yet again my limitation ... bummer!

Hope to see you on a local run soon so I can drool over your mirrors ... lol ... just kidding ... well maybe a little ... he he he ...

Wanna share the YouTube so others can drool too???

Yes I did, thank you.
I finally decided to do the install last weekend, it took 7 hours and was probably one of the hardest installs I have ever attempted. Actually installing full OEM front and rear Parktronic (parking sensors) on my 2003 Mercedes including the LED displays on the dash and rear headliner was the most difficult ever, but this was a close second.

I took my car to Brecht MINI (big mistake) to have the car programmed and some convenience features activated. They were unable to program the convenience features and charged me a full hour at $180.
The tech had my car for 3 1/2 hours trying to program the convenience features. The only redeeming value from that visit is they activated the alarm so the mirrors auto-fold. They wanted to start charging me another $180 an hour to diagnose why they couldn't get the car to take the programming. I would think they would know right away what to do rather then keeping putting the info in a computer and hitting send or whatever they do. I politely told them that was the first and last time they will ever see me. Idiots!

Isn't there a meeting this Saturday or Sunday, the monthly meeting for West Coast MINI? I saw on the calendar it is Feb. 6 but I don't see a location. Could you give me some 411?

Btw here is the video you requested.
