Aftermarket recaro

Hi,

There are too many topics about installing aftermarkets seats but i still have a question.

I know that passenger's seat has the weight sensor for the dash airbag.
But both seats have only 2 plugs (yellow and blue) airbag and pretensioner.
I already have the resistors but i don't know what to do with the inseat sensor. Is the airbag plug connected to the sensor inside the seat?if so how can i connect the resistors??Or do i have to put the 3.33ohm resistor to only the drivers yellow plug and just gut out the weight sensor from the passenger seat leave it plugged and put it into the aftermarket seat??

To make it more simple, under drivers seat yellow plug is where we put the resistor and yellow plug under passenger seat is the one we leave connected to the weight sensor which is inside the seat?????

Plz if anyone have done it,help me to continue with the install...

I don't remember the color of the plug. But one goes in to the seat and to the airbag the other goes to the seat belt plug. if you have an 04 or later then you have the passenger weight mat. I think it wad the yellow plug for the airbag but I could be wrong. As far as the resistor you need one per seat. You can solder lead on the each side of the resistor then plug them in to plug. Or you can sand down the wire leads on the resistor till the fit tightly in the holes of each plug then heat shrink them so they won't vibrate out.

Sorry to use your topic but i have a question also related to this topic.

i received my Recaro Sportster CS and the subrames for Mini Cooper S. The holes don't mach... i think this frames are to use in conjuction with the OEM rails, but i don't know if it's possible to take off the subframes of the OEM seats....

In the box i received 2 seats Recaro Sporster CS, and 2 boxes with the references...

68.83.29

68.83.19

the only parts that i have are theese ones:

Can anybody help me .... because i have the seats about 3 days ago and i can't mount them....

i'm

NoRe asking your question, i received today the resistor in yellow. I ordered two of them. I remove the OEM seats, and plug them into the yellow, and the blue ones, with the pretensioner, i turn on the car and everything is OK....

Thank you.

I own a 05 facelift.

I can only see 2 plugs per seat(airbag and pretensioner) i can't see any plug for the weight sensor..
The yellow one under passenger seat is connected to the sensor??,but then, if i cut the yellow plug to put the resistor then the seat sensor gets useless.....

Because very recently we put the sportster to my friends R53 the only thing we had to do is to just open up a little with a dremel a couple of holes at the recaros brackets, the ones you show so as to straight up with the ones at the oem rail.
But if you are tall be aware that with the stock rail the seat goes very close to the headceiling..

Plz if anyone remember if the yellow plug under passenger seat needs to be cut and put a resistor or if you just remove the weight sensor from inside the seat, put it in the aftermarket one and leave it pluged..
I would like for the dash airbags to work perfectly..

Thank you

Where did you purchase the resistor?

Also, with just the resistor, the airbag light on the dash doesn't turn off?
