Cracked Aesthetic Creations Headlight Rings?
Anyone have cracking issues with Aesthetic Creations Headlight Rings? They don't seem very durable. This happened about a month ago, after being installed for maybe 10 months.
The molded plastic door handles aren't looking very hot either anymore. They look pretty faded expect the area I grab to open the door which looks smooth and shiny.

Yup, one side cracked about a few weeks after installation.....
I cut a piece of black electrical tape and put it behind the cracked area to cover the chrome, then put two small pieces of carpet tape behind the trim ring on either side of the crack, heated it up some with a hair dryer and pressed it firmly against the headlight ring.
So far it has stayed and I cant see the crack anymore unless I get really close up.
Next time I am just going to use either vinyl or just go old school and sand/prime and paint up a new set.

I'm not surprised. I have had good luck ordering stickers and vinyl from them, but my molded parts sucked- not to mention they took about 8 weeks to get to me. The emblem covers were OK but they didn't cover the chrome all the way around, the sides of the emblem were still fully exposed. The door handles left about 1/4" of chrome all the way around, I had to use the entire roll of vinyl they provided to cover it up. The parts all faded really fast, and I don't live in a warm or sunny climate. I didn't even bother taking the door handles off when I traded the car in. I wouldn't buy molded parts again, I'd definitely paint or vinyl wrap.

Thanks for the input, I'll probably follow Gray Raven's advice for some patchwork repair for the time being. If I was going to keep the car or get another MINI, I'd probably hit up Vinyl Styles. Should have used them in the first place!
My handles have only about 1/8" gap at the max, but that's still not great. The taillight covers for me are the worst, they don't cover all the chrome, but fortunately the gaps are at the bottom so it's harder to spot...
