Silver Trim Rings vs. Chrome Trim Rings

ok guys heres the deal. I got silver trim rings with my car and I'm sporting them right now. But lately, i've been thinking about switching to chrome trim rings because the silver seems a bit too "boring" now. The reason I didn't just get the chrome trim rings initially when I ordered my car was because I thought they looked somewhat "cheap' and "flimsy"...
...but for those of you who have it, do you feel as though it adds more "class" to your car? Better worded, when you get inside your mini do you feel as though the effect of the chrome adds to the "specialness" of your mini? I'de imagine that at nighttime especially, the chrome rings must look pretty cool too with the reflections from the lights inside the car.

I know this is completely based on personal opinion, but what are your thoughts? Should I stick with my silver rings or switch to chrome?

Personally I think that chrome is so 70's. There is a little chrome, switches, door handles etc and it's enough for me. The silver is boring... a texture similar to the BMW ZHP equipped cars would be nicer but the pattern is really too big for the smaller trim rings.

The reason I got the chrome interior option was I thought the finish would be easier to keep clean than the "flat" finish silver. I have found that these chrome rings do clean very easily using glass cleaner on a microfiber cloth. Regarding the appearance, it may look somewhat retro but given that I also ordered a walnut dash, I guess I took the approach that British cars should have wood dashboards with chrome trim.....

I hate exterior chrome but, the interior looks more refined with it.

I'll trade you door trim!

I hate chrome...always have always will! I didn't order chrome w/ my '10 S but they came with the harmon-kardon upgrade...so now i have chrome rings on my doors only and silver on dash and shifter etc. If you want I'll save you half the $ on your upgrade and even-steven swap the 3 rings on each door...probably gonna have to swap the speaker housings. Let me know
