Has anyone ever had to replace their sunshade? Mine seems to be a little wavy on the edges, a precursor to replacement perhaps. The tension spring seems to function well although I occasionally retract the shade when not driving. I wonder what the replacement cost is?
Any thoughts ? B.D.

 

I'm not sure of the replacement cost but I'm getting mine replace under warranty. They had to order it. One day I was opening the shade and one side decided to go back while the other didn't. It stretched it a little and hangs on one side like a worn headliner in an old car. Maybe you should have the dealer look at it and see if it is a warranty issue. It's worth a shot as most likely the headliner would need to come down.

I will probably take mine back for warranty work as well. One day during the peak of summer I released the shade and it went back about and inch, then stopped retracting. Problem was that now the entire front latch area fell out of it's tracks and hit me on the head (while driving). It was then that it decided to free itself and retract, rolling the shade and the latch bar up in a crooked, wrinkled mess. I pulled the shade back out and replaced it in the tracks, but ever since it has a frayed edge and it droops badly on one edge.
