Is the boot the same on both 6-spd and auto?

No, the boot for the automatic shifter has part of it cut out for the gear indicator panel.

Check to see of it is the same replacement part #....The pics are only schematics...so things may look the same, but be different.
Edit:Yup...I think the prior poster got it right!!
