For Electricians: AFR and Boost Guages Needed

Hi all. I'm thinking of adding AFR (Air Fuel Ratio) and boost guages to my R53. I'm in a real nead of an expert opinion. I need to know:

-Where to get best AFR sensor and cables.
-Where to get best AFR guage that matches our R53 silver interior.
-Any recommended boost guages?

I'm thinking of the Stewart Warner boost guage as it matches the car's interior.

Any help in this project is highly appreciated.

You need to talk to Steve (SRTech) at Custom Mini Shop. He was in charge of getting gauges specifically made for MINI's that match the stock gauges. I've got a couple and they look fantastic. They're made by Marshall and he's got different types - mechanical, electric, stepper. Here's a link to the NAM thread about it. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ry-gauges.html Only caveat to that is that I don't think they made AFR gauges. Then again - AFR gauges are pretty useless. To get any kind of an accurate AFR, you need a wideband o2 sensor.
Here's a quick pic pulled from that thread of the Marshall MINI gauges - boost on the left and oil pressure on the right.

thanks Spooled and Da Ghost for your posts. You have been in great help. I agree that AFR is useless without a wideband sensor. I talked to the guys at tunertools.com and they told me most AFRs are not accurate. Even RMW and Mynes Tune do not recommend other than Innovate AFR. Here's a link to what I'm getting:

http://tunertools.com/proddetail.asp?prod=in-3796

I'm gonna use data from that AFR in my remote tune with Jan. This is why accuracy comes in first place, at least for now. What do you think guys?

#4370 autometer

IF you want accuracy & can wait a bit (not ready yet) Autometer Pro Lite # 4370 Will be released any time soon (hopefully) check out the style (almost identical/ oem) But these ARE electronic and therefore NOT cheap. As w/ all wide band units you'll need to weld a pre-cat bung in;ALL the rest is complete. This IS analog. Digital WILL also be available and makes some people more "comfortable" in the accuracy dept though according to data logging~~~they're identicle. Kinda boils down to continuity in matching what you'got presently !? OBEY

Well........Steve had a AFR gauge made up for me....it's an Marshall SCX, so the font is not perfect but he asked Marshall to use a silver needle base and they did

JIMINNI's Marshall AFR with the silver needle in our display. The face doesn't match, but if you're not too picky.....
