Regarding larger front plate on MCS

I have a custom euro plate that I would like to place on the front of my 2003 MCS. When I was test fitting it, I found that a euro plate blocks a good amount of airflow to the front lower grill. I have seen others install euro plates on the front, and was wondering if it has caused anyone any problems?

Is this a bad idea? What a shame, I really love this plate :(

I have one on the front of my '03, no problems so far. Here in Tennessee we are hitting the upper 90's to low 100's. No over heating yet.
