Interior/Exterior hid headlights
It's weird. They are bright, but since you're not used to seeing things in that light color light (not the same as the sun), it feels like you can't see as well. Like if you turn on a red light in a room you can still see everything, it's just different and hard to tell what stuff is.
Just my 2 cents. I have HID fogs at 7000K, so they are a "pure white" type color.

I agree. Stay away from the blues and purples. I think most places consider 6000 degrees Kelvin Bright White.
That is the most I would do.
Most cars from the factory come with 4300K or 4500K, so 5000K would be very close.
