Interior/Exterior blackout mod question - colored washer caps
blackout mod question - colored washer caps
I already did the joey mod and now I'm thinking of blacking out the chrome. I was thinking of blacking out the headlight ring and making the headlight washer cap red. I did a quick edit on the computer last night, just want to see what people think.
Alex,
Although the color match isn't great, I think it would look just fine. Trust me, you'll probably get inputs from every perspective on what you are thinking about doing... The most important thing is if you like it.
I too did the Joey mod and I've blacked out ALL of my exterior chrome as well. I've given some though to changing it up a little and going with body color headlight rings and leaving the washer covers black as the rings will then blend into the body and the washer covers will blend into the headlights. The black headlight rings can make it look like the car has two black eye's. I guess I'll have to sit down with photoshop later today to see what it would look like.
In the end, it's the buyers choice and I love playing with Plasti-Dip and vinyl as I can just peel/pull it off and start over if I don't like it! Best of luck and be sure to post pics when you've made up your mind and gotten it done.

I finally got around to taking pictures. I don't remember the colors I used, but if someone is interested I can go look at the rattle cans. The spray paint didn't work so well as the temp and humidity changed a lot over that weekend. I think the colors look pretty good, probably would have looked better if I could have gotten my hands on some Chili Red paint.
