2nd-Gen Craven Speed Gauges: 2- vs 4-Pack
I'm about to embark on purchasing / installing important gauges that MINI has too often overlooked.
However, I'm wondering if the 4-pack of gauges on the tach is going to look like too much of a cluster-f%$&.
Anyone have images / personal experiences on 2-gauge and/or versus the 4-gauge set-up?
Debating on:
2-guage: boost, and a.) oil temp or b.) water temp
4-gauge: boost, oil temp, oil pressure, water temp

As a fellow Lazer Blue Clubby owner, I've been debating the same thing. I really like the idea of the gauges and the Craven speed setup is the best looking of the bunch IMHO, however my debate is not with the 2 vs 4 pack as with doing them vs buying a new Garmin and the new OBD dongle they have, that lets you have a gauge pack onscreen on your Garmin. The only wiring you have to do is to plug the dongle into the OBDII port since it's wireless, and you can configure what readouts you want from it. cost is about the same as the 2 pack Craven speed setup - $250 for a 1490T and $150 for the dongle. The other advantage is being able to move it to your other cars.....
Like I said, I'm still tossing this one around, but the Garmin device is out now, and I'm leaning that direction.
