Picture request: Joey mod on 03 HIDs.

Anyone got any good pics?
I wonder how it looks..

By reading forums apparently is is a pain and hard to get them sealed good again.

But I really want to see what it looks like, so post em if you got em!

Thanks!

IMO Dont do this. I have an 03 and did mine this time last year and it was a complete PITA !!! I dont know when philly did his, but the 'cement' used on the '03s is incredibly strong (maybe gets stronger w/ age). I ended up 'stress cracking' the lenses and they look like crap now IMO. From 5' they look great, but up close....no bueno.

GL to ya, if you decide to do it. BTW sealing it was the easy part, lots of black sealant/adhesive and ZERO foggin issues a year later.

Also, i have done this half a dozen times to other cars w/o much complaints, but these lights were in a league of their own.

I did them 2 years ago, I've had no problems with them at all. It is hard, took me 12 days from start to finish. I would just do a little each night after work. I would estimate about 12 to 15 hours per light the way I did it. I used a dremel tool to cut around the base, where the lens fits to the housing, then slowly chiseled away all the old sealant. Used a fiberglass cloth tape, some epoxy, and a top coat of black silicone to seal it all back together.
