Interior/Exterior Blackout or Bodycolor
Blackout or Bodycolor
Maybe it's me, but I just can't get used to the black circles around the headlights on a light colored mini.
Right now, I have a Horizon Blue S with Black rims/alum edge, blacked out tail light rings, blacked out side scuttles & gas cap, black stripes, blacked out grille, and blacked out hood scoop. All sanded, primed , and painted.
I can't decide what to do with the headlight trim. I'm thiinking if I do Black, it would be too much. The chrome doesn't look bad, but I was thinking of going body color. Anyone out there running blacked out except for the headlight trim?

Yeah, I'm gonna do body color. Blacked out the Hood Scoop and put it on today. Looks great. I figure with the blacked out grille, black stripes, and black scoop, the body color trim rings would be good. I ordered another pair of rings just in case I decide to leave them chrome. I painted all my black trim (gas cap, side scuttles, tail light rings, and grille surround) with Rustoleum Flat Black after sanding and priming. Came out great and it takes wax without any marking. Matter of fact, the wax adds a dull shine to it and it looks even better.
