Sorry if this topic has been beat to death. Did some searches and most info. is dated.

The mission is: change out the factory halogens with a quality xenon, projector lamp kit that includes cut-off masks, ballasts etc. This should adapt to factory wiring. The car is an '04 Cooper.

Questions: anyone have a part source or recommendation from your upgrade? I see pricing from $200-$1,000. The Ebay stuff looks scary, am I wrong? What about having to pay a dealer to reprogram the lamp monitor setting? Stupid dealer is 300 miles away.

I'm hoping for a drop-in upgrade not an adventure in collecting headlight assemblies. Perhaps the current halogens are great performers where no one does this? It's all about my BMW has factory HID's and my Wife feels cheated that her Cooper doesn't. I Don't want to go cheap and perform a downgrade when she wants the real deal. My lights cost a bloody fortune! ... eeek!... please help me brothers
