Is it possible to replace my non-s R56 headlights with S R56 headlights? I was hoping to be able to take my regular stock ones out and put in the projector head lights from a S R56. Does anyone know if you can or not? If so where can i find the head lights?

 

You mean the Xenon lights? It is an option on both the non-S and S at least here in the states. As far as I know, no one has made the swap. Dealers don't offer it (I asked). Complicated by wiring stuff, parts, and programming. Right now, I just put some brighter aftermarket halogen bulbs (Philips X-treme's) in my standard headlights. Also, adjusting the headlight aim is useful.

Thanks........... at least you gave me a reason to why it cant be done many others have just said no, or that they have read that you cant with no reason as to why not.

 

I have been told that there are 2 different wire harnesses for the MINI. In my case I have no cruise and no xeonons, which means they would have to change the wire harness. Now when a dealership tells me that they won't do it for the fear of totalling out the car I tend to believe them. This is from 2 different MINI dealership (MINI of Honolulu and Tom Bush MINI). Now if you want to take it to someone who thinks that they can do it go fro and tell me how it turns out so that I can go get mine done.
