IS there a way to install a double filament bulb in the "Fog light" socket????
That way you can get the same effect of the two brightness levels seen in the lower light.
What would the wire mod be??

I think the socket would have to be modified, cuz the pins on a single are different than a dual filament, I believe.

I think this is a job for....Greatbear!

The pins on the bulbs are different. Ones equal height the other's offset. Also you'd have to change the internal part of the socket and redo the circuit board to fit the new configuration. While it may be feasible it does seem like a whole lot of redesigning.

I know about the different contact points on the two bulbs.
But, I was thinking maybe there is another socket out there that could replace the stock unit and easily be mounted on the curcuit board.
I've seen paper clips used for the wiring mod so I'm sure that problem can be resolved just as easily.
Plus, redesigning is half the fun!

I remember someone on MCO installing a double filament socket in their MINI but, can't tell you where I saw it. You might be able to do a search and find it. Good luck.
