After much study, I've all but settled on the space cloth sport seats, primarily for comfort reasons. One thing I'm still considering though, is whether to get the official MINI seat covers. They appeal to me because I think they would retain the comfort and protect the seats.

So, if you have them, or if you have seen them, I'd like to hear your opinion on:
1. Quality of materials
2. Fit
3. Comfort

If they don't fit the bill, I'm likely to skip them and stay w/ the space cloth.

And, if anyone has photos of Panther Black eat covers installed, I'd be most eager to see them.

Also a positive for the seat covers, is they have tear away sections for the seat airbags, so they can still deploy properly.

i have had the official panther black seat covers since July. They're expensive, and, at first, I was a little disappointed with the fit. They seemed a little loose on the part of the car seat that comes in contact with my seat. The fit was fine elsewhere (I am pretty sure that they comprise 3 separate pieces per seat). But now that they're broken in they're great. Very comfortable, cool in the summer and they no longer seem loose. Mine show no signs of wear. I also saw what looked like a pair in a Harmini Cooper at last weekend's PDA track event at Pocono raceway. I can't be sure they were the official, but they looked the part. Anyway, the driver's seat showed some wear. Hope this helps.

Thanks rzdzm. Are your seats the sport seats or the standard seats? And are you equally satisfied with the quality of the materials? You mentioned the absense of wear, but I'd also be interested to hear your opinion of the look. How do they compare to the look of the Wet Okobe seat covers, which seem to exude quality?

I have the sports seats on an '03 MCS. Don't know the Wet Okobe, but the look of the pantherette is good. My dealer showed them to me before I made my decision. BTW, it takes the dealer an hour to install, at additional cost.
