Sorry, I would post up pics, but my wife is in class for a while. At least I got to wash, clay, polish, scratch-x, glaze, and wax my truck in the mean time

haha, that is coincidence. by any chance was/is he is xr-underground.com? i've seen maybe two twin turbo setups. and the main one i know was a swb.
Yeaa, his name is megabitez. Its funny when we drive together because of the color matching and hood scoops. He jokes around saying we race my car would fall into his scoop .

Wow man, that is a nice looking Mini. Vinyl is some pretty tough stuff to work with. Why did you choose that over paint? Cheaper? Removable?

Wow, very nicely done. Too bad I am too afraid to try something like that for some reason. When it comes to visuals, I am too chicken. Props it looks friggin schweeet.

Yup, that one is on the list. I'm sure it will happen soon enough.

Thanks man. It's not hard, but painting does take some technique.

It looks good, but how is this any different than the standard "plasti-dip black out" that's so popular on this board?

Nothing, I would assume. I don't have the money to be a whole lot more different or original. Luckily my wife doesn't really know much about this stuff, and for her it's a big change.

Vendetta, you should black out the belt-line, it makes a world of difference.

I'm getting close to the complete Storm Trooper Mini. Still waiting on my handles and emblems to arrive any day now. I have been researching gloss black rims also.

Okay, after that, we need to re-title this thread, "MINI ****." That looks so awesome that it's worthy of dropping the F Bomb!

.

This is really easy don't be scared at all. I was scared as well. So i went out and bought PlastiDip and jumped at this project at 1am. The nice part about PlastiDip is that if you don't like the way it came out let it dry and peel it off. Thats what got me through it and a few beers. I know have everything done but the door handles. I have confort access and i didn't really want to mess it up with paint. I will be ording the molded covers from AC. Other than that it was easy just take your time.

Forgive me if this was already asked (gr8 ride btw), but what did you use on the wheels to paint them black, anything special?

^^^^ I used plastidip on everything. It's been a few months, and everything is holding up well. Smalls chips here and there, but it would happen to a painted surface as well.
