thanks!
it wasnt the easiest to work with..but compared to vinyl..it comes out much cleaner and there's more room for error..
but once you spray the adhesive on, you have to make sure you put the fabric on top of it at the right time..as long as you dont wait too long the adhesive will still be tacky..

honestly it didnt come out perfect mainly where the vent holes are..but its not even noticeable..so its fine

Came out great! Really need to do this to my car. Soon enough.

So, you bought 1 yard for the dash? How wide is the fabric? 36" by xx" ?

jo from mfestforums said its 36" by 55" but i didnt really measure it myself..but it is a pretty big sheet..
and covering my dash makes me wanna cover other things..but that's if i get the chance..

and oh..i probably used like 1/3 of the fabric? somewhere around there..definitely less than half..
so more than half left

thanks!!
and wat exactly do you mean by the color match?
looking at pictures of the jcw dash..my "cf" is darker and i personally like how it looks in my car..my gf tho, not so much..
i have the darker interior so it ties in a bit better than the lighter interior mini's

it definitely catches my eye while i'm driving..in a good way of course
i know it's not real carbon fiber..and neither is it close..and im sure people may say it's 'ricey' or watever..
but i personally think that it looks pretty darn close to cf and definitely adds much more 'umph' to the interior

Check out the E92 M3s, was in my buddy's yesterday and couldn't get my eye off the CF Fabric. Believe me, not exactly a rice factor lol.

Do you have any close-ups of the speedo section? How did you manage not to get wrinkles there?

well taking a look today..there are a little bit of wrinkles near the edges..at the two top parts next to the middle speedo..
the best and easiest way to do it there is to stick the fabric on those parts first and then do the 'u' part..if you know wat i mean
wish someone would have taken pictures while i did them..but i did it here and there while i was working.. and finished by the end of the day..
whenever i get a chance i'll try to post some pics of the parts where i messed up (the hard areas)..
but not sure if it'll show with my iphone camera..as it cant do close shots..

minjae, you mentioned you still have half of the fabric left? Would you be interested in selling it? Is it enough to cover my dash?

By color match, I meant how the colors in the CF look with the rest of the dash vinyl...maybe it doesn't apply in this case though, I don't know!

Do you mean the "oval" surrounds of the door cards? I'll be going with the matte cf fabric for that section (as well as the dash) as soon as the finances allow for me to do so.

I do take donations if you all want pics quicker lol
