Interior/Exterior Front bumper blank insert needed
Front bumper blank insert needed
I am a brand new MINI owner (like two days) -- the dealer sadly attached a front license plate holder -- although none is needed in my state.
I asked to have the plate holder removed and the damaged area repaired with a body colored blank insert, which I understand is available. Not only is he reluctant to do that, but wants to charge me an arm and a leg. I have searched the vendor sites, but am unable to find the blank anywhere. Can anyone help with info? Sure appreciate it.

Dealer is Responsible
If the dealer is from the same state in which the car is being registered then your dealer is a DA.
If it were me, I would demand
the fix at their expense with the intention of returning the car for a full credit. If it were a dealer from another state, it is their responsibility
to inquire and get an approval from the buyer before altering the car.
If you can fix, which you can that is all well and good. However, going that way does not hold the dealer responsible
for actions that may affect another buyer down the road and it will happen again and again.

front license plate
I hear you. Unfortunately, the dealer is the only one in the area and it is his "policy" (so I'm told) to put on the front license plates for the sole purpose of advertising his dealership. He's got a whole lot full of BMWs, Bentleys & MINIs and every last one has been "mutilated" in this fashion. They are hardnosed about fixing the holes, unless I agree to pay for it (180-200 bucks). The whole experience with this particular dealer when purchasing my MINI has been arduous to say the least. Last time, we'll buy from him, for sure -- we'd rather drive 2 hrs to the next closest dealership.
