Thinking about louvers...
I have bees reading all the posts on louvers.. I am in the mood to do something different to the mini.. I thought I would have better luck on finding a DIY louver steel kit. Something I could weld in and re paint. I thought I saw something like this on a older post M7 car. It was rivited in the hood. Tried looking at Year One and Summit for a steel louver part but nothing came up.. I looked on E bay and found this set for a boat.

Just wanted to get opinions on the look. I would have them painted/powder coated black or maybe body color.
I think West Marine sells them so I will take a look in person. But I think the look is cool and different.

Ya I think I remember those were on a different car he found somewhere. I forget what car. There is also a Mini from M7 that had some rivited in the hood. Looked really cool.
I had an idea to cover the louvers when the weather is bad also.. Go to Staples or any home office place and they sell really big car door magnets. You can get them and make your own advertisement on you side of your door.. Anyway, get them, cut them down and if it's very rainy or whatever you can put them on the hood over the louvers. They would stay on at highway speeds I would bet.
