Does anyone have any good detailed instructions on painting the headlight rings?

 

I think somebody did a write up somewhere??
try a search??

 

-unhook neg. battery cable
-unhook bulbs and headlight washers if Xenon
-remove 2 screws in leveling motors so you can get to the bottom nut
-10mm socket to remove 3 nuts
-place sheet over engine so you dont lose nuts first
-you should have headlight out at this point. pull washer motor out to remove half moon shaped metal piece first. be careful I broke my first one . then you can pry the rest of the ring off

 

leveling motors? do you mean the ballasts?

does anyone on here know if the 07/08 headlights tht everyone seems to be doing the joey mod on will fit into an '02 cooper non s?

 

no, but u can get 05 -06 lights, theyre different than pre 2004 lights and easy to joey mod (like i did)
