When Jason came to help me with the 15% pulley a few days back I noticed his 05 had a different grill surround than my 04. the one from the 05 is smooth where the 04 has a grove that covers the entire surface.

I am going to be painting my chrome grill surround to color match the Dark Silver but do not want that grove. Does anyone know where I can purchase just the 05 grill surround or someone who has upgraded to the Aero Grill that is willing to part with JUST the oem surround?

 

Actually you can buy each grill peice seperately at your MINI dealer. Seems like there are 3 individual parts to the MINI grill.

Yes the chrome around the 05 and 06 grill is smooth.

The lower surround(in the bumper cover)...51 11 7 127 931

 

They aren't too bad from the dealer, I remember thinking I was going to be paying much more than I actually did. I like the smooth look much better, it matches the chrome around the headlights!
