like i said, we will see how they hold up. if they dont hold up good, i will tint them.

why would the first person to do this say its held up "EXTREMELY WELL" if it didnt? his are still wrapped and he did it the same way i did.

Much better pics! Adds some interesting texture to the rear end. I too would be concerned about dust and dirt in my area. I have to clean my vehicles weekly at a minimum just to keep the dust off. I would think that material would attract it and start to turn brown. Only time will tell though.

Hmmm....I like it all blacked out like that but the texture would bother me.

I guess it could vacuum clean from normal boot dust...but things like wet dirt/mud, ash, road salt...?

I think I'd lose my mind.

To each their own though; way to go for it

im waiting to get my carpet installed so i can put my pass. seat, and all consoles back in, then put the trim panels for the wall in for good. cant do anything til the carpet is installed.

i think i want to go with the old version Megan coilovers...i dont want to be the first to get the Vmaxx's. if others get them and i see they get low, and good feedback on how they ride, etc, ill buy them.

I was skeptical at the beginning of this thread but I gotta say, in the day shots it looks very cool. Seems like it could be a cool quick mod to do before a car show…

i think itll hold up long enough to be worth it. now if it messes up every month its not worth the time, but if it doesnt fade for 8 months, ill just re wrap them every 8 months, thats no big deal at all.

most likely ill just paint those when i get the arches painted gloss black to match the body. who knows maybe ill do them and see how they hold up that close to the wheels. really, when it gets dirty, as soon as you wet it when you wash the car, anything on them comes right off...im just hoping a bird doesnt happen to you know what on my lights...lol

I think your rear end looks awesome. I'd tap that like Fred Astaire.

But for real, the contrasting textures (flat/glossy) give it a sort of ominous, industrial feel. It's definitely one of the best takes on the 'black-out' that I've seen. That patriotic plate doesn't really fit the image though, IMO.
