Interior/Exterior Front Aero Bumper Only...
Hey all. I ordered just the front aero bumper from the dealer last week and it just came in, but I'm having a local bodyshop put it on for me. They do increadible work and they're cutting me a great deal. The only question we were both wondering is what to do with the black wheel arch. I haven't yet removed my stock bumper, and I'm not sure how that plastic piece fits over the bumper, but the aero bumper has the arch as part of the bumper, as if it was supposed to be painted. Am I missing a piece? Can the plastic from my stock bumper be used over the aero? I'm confused.
SkAlex,
The factory aero kit is intended to be masked in certain areas prior to painting. These areas include the integral wheel arch segments. The other alternative which some opt for is to paint everything, including the full wheel arches and rocker panels. It really looks quite nice either way; so it's up to you!
It's definitely worth checking out the official instructions which you can find here, courtesy of Gabe Bridger:

Best of luck,

Here's some pics.
Dark silver aero with black painted wheelarches and black lower trim.
The black areas could have been left unpainted also.

Or fullaero with everything painted.

Yes you can paint the skirts and the fenders but they may need some smoothing out and prep. See your body shop for more details. The aerokit parts are already primed and ready to go.
